Our members and workers have diverse qualifications and experiences, which enables AFAQ e.V. to offer consultative and supportive activities in various fields. The multiculturality and variety of our members makes us sensitive, especially for concerns and issues of immigrants.
Our consultation services are available multiple languages. Besides English and German, we are fluent in Arabic and Kurdish. Upon request we can also organise consulations in other languages. Our work is above all dedicated to:
- helping refugees with the starting their life in Germany
- offering a path into a culturally diverse society
- being able to live a self determined life – tolerantly and respectfully towards different cultures
AFAQ e.V. can advise and attend:
- in matters of residency and visa
- appointments at the social welfare office, the job center, the immigration office (Ausländeramt)
- appointments with lawyers, doctors, health insurance, authorities
- with the search for an apartment, a job, transport, furniture
- in question of education (kindergarten, schools, further education, sports clubs)
Consulting hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 16:00 by appointment at our office.
